Welcome to Tennis Dauphine, a friendly, dynamic club located in the heart of a green setting.

tennis ball Pickleball

It’s the new, booming racquet sport that’s extremely easy and fun for everyone, young and old. It is mainly played in doubles with 4 players, but can also be played in pairs. Similar to tennis, pickleball is played in a smaller area, 13.41 metres long and 6.1 metres wide excluding the set-back area (i.e. 138 m2 with the set-back). Pickleball is an integral part of the sports covered by the FFT, which aims to develop and promote the sport.

The number of players in France has risen from 1,300 in 2023 to 14,000 in 2024, and is still rising. Today, for example, there are over 14 million pickleball players in the United States.

We’ll be installing a pickleball court on the terrace in front of Court 1. The surface is sufficient and suitable. This site will not mean any loss of space for the restaurateur, as we plan to create a rooftop on the roof of the building, optimizing space and enhancing the attractiveness of the site at the same time.

We’ll be the first FFT club in Paris to be equipped with a permanent pickleball court. As part of the launch of the pickleball activity on the Flandrin site, we will be partnering with Crazy Pickle Club, a specialist in this sport, who will offer their members time slots and support us in the development of this new activity.

This sport is played with rackets and balls. We’ll use the new model of silent ball if need be (for example, Gamma brand balls: with less than 60 decibels, i.e. the same volume
as a normal conversation).

Pickleball court opening hours:
8am to 8pm summer time, 8:30am to 5:30pm winter time.
Total hours available: Days in summer time: approx. 7 months (last Sunday in March to last Sunday in October), i.e. 214 days; 12 hours per day (8am to 8pm), i.e. 2,568 hours. Days in winter time: about 5 months (from the last Sunday in October to the last Sunday in March), i.e. 214 days
(excluding December 25 and January 1); 9 hours a day (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), i.e. 1,341 hours. A total of 3,909 slots on offer (2,568 + 1,341).

We anticipate an attendance rate of 20% in the first year, with a 10% increase over the first 3 years, and an attendance rate of around 50% from year 4 onwards. Taking into account bad weather, estimated
at 25% of the time, with an occupancy rate of 50% (out of 75% of the time without bad weather), we therefore estimate our occupancy rate at 66% from year 4 onwards.
